I am looking for a more natural skincare range for my baby?

I have heard so many bad things especially about what johnsons products contain and would just like to use something kinder and am looking for recommendations?

  1. My ped recommended scent free Dove. It is gentle and moisturizing to their skin. I also used it on their hair and head until they lost the baby hair. That is what I always used until 2 years of age when I switched to whatever soap we happened to be using.
  2. Burts bees DEFF!!! its all natural! they make baby products and products for everyone! Soooo Worth it!
  3. Nature's Baby Organics and California Baby products are nice, not full of chemicals and gentle on baby's skin. No parabens or sulfates or anything like that. Oh and I agree on the Burt's Bees too! I use many of their products for me but have seen some stuff for baby on the shelves, as well. I have always been happy with their products that I have used, so I imagine their baby line is probably great as well, and they are also all-natural.
  4. hi yes dove is good, also i dont know about in the usa, but over here we have been advised to not use talcum powder on our babies as they can inhale it and it can get into their lungs and cause problems later on.
  5. I just use water on my baby. She doesn't have hair and she doesn't get gross. I just pull her into the shower with me and run some water over her and take a baby washcloth and wipe all the folds. When she is old enough to be getting dirty though, I will use Dr Bronns or Burts Bee's. If my baby has dry skin I use Olive Oil or Lanolin.
  6. If in the uk Waitrose do a lovely own brand range of product with no nasties in them. The baby bottom balm is gorgeous. They have a cradle cap massage oil that smells sweet and natural and works better than an other brand.
  7. OMG people dove is not a natural casmetic HELLO! geez yeah burts bees is the BEST they smell awsome and are soooooo gently i bought my little girl the milk bath it comes in powder form and it made her sooo smooth and smelled really good too they also have the shampoo bodywash lotion etc etc and they all smell so sweet luv it! And yes commercial brands have sulfates and preservatives and dyes and all kinds of crap (blah) some even have formaldahide sp? in them i couldnt believe it embalming fluid in my babies shampoo of course it is listed as something else OH and you can get burts bees at Target stores or you can get them online at burtsbees.com hope i helped
  8. I use weleda baby products
  9. Dove. I know people who swear by Arbonne Baby Care. I personally thought it was too expensive and didn't clean by babies thick hair well. http://www.dove.ca/baby/default_e.asp
  10. My daughter has very sensitive skin si i use the following. Johnsons shampoo for hair which seems to be fine Just plain water for washing her. E45 for moisturizing. Asda fragrance free wipes. Hope this helps.
  11. California Baby is a good line that is partially organic (not certified organic.) Check out Safemama.com - it has cheat sheets that list many lines of safe baby products and if there are any unsafe ingredients in them. Also check out the cosmetic database - www.cosmeticsdatabase.com - this website has many brands/products listed with their ingredients and lists them on a hazard scale of 1-10 - FYI - Many Burt's Bees products are a 4 out of 10, Dove hand wash is a 5 out of 10, Aveeno Baby Soothing Bath Treatment is a 0 - I believe one of the safest products out there, most everything rates a 1 or 2 but that product is a powder that you dissolve into running water and just wasn't practical for me. Good Luck! :)
  12. Weleda has some good stuff, and smells really good, too, as does Burt's Bee's
